Helsinki Taiji & Qigong day (HTQP 2010)

World Taiji & Qigong Day (more info) begins every year 10 o’clock A.M. local time on the last Saturday in April. Helsinki Taiji & Qigong Day (HTQD) belongs to this world-wide movement. Guilin Taijiquan ry together with other taiji/qigong schools in Helsinki organizes this event on Saturday 24.4.2010 from 10 am to 14 pm in Elias-koulu, address: Ehrensvärdintie 31-35,in Eira, Helsinki.

The event is organized by 4 local taiji/qigong clubs in Helsinki: Baji ry, Guilin Taijiquan ry, Tai Chi Chuan ry and Suomen Chi-Kung Yhdistys (The Finnish Qigong Association).

Program

The event begins 10 o'clock with a joint qigong training session where the public is welcome to participate. It is followed by taiji demonstrations of the local clubs from 10:30 to 11:30.

From 11:30 to 12:30 Helena Hallenberg gives a presentation (in Finnish) on the role of qigong and taiji in maintaining the health. Taiji demonstrations of the local clubs continue from 12:30 to 13:30 and after the second joint qigong training session from 13:30 to 14:00 the event is closed. A detailed program can be found here.

No entry fee

Participation in the event is free of charge! The program suits to people in all ages. Therefore, you may participate with all the family members. Taiji and qigong offer suitable training possibilities to everybody independent of the age, gender and physical shape.
